The World Bank in Niger

Niger is a vast country located in the heart of the Sahel region. Classified as extremely low income, Niger is faced with a triple crisis, arising from the country's security and humanitarian situation and, more recently, a health challenge associated with the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Its economy is not well diversified and depends primarily on agriculture, which accounts for 40% of its GDP.
